Top Energy Performance

The performance of insulated glass is the primary factor determining the energy performance of a window. SCHUCO windows use the highest efficiency double-pane insulated glass on the US market. For the most demanding application we offer our windows with the option of a triple-pane Krypton-filled glass providing customers with a product that is almost 300% more efficient than the standard residential window.Apart from glass, the frame of a window and its sash have a significant impact on the "combined" energy performance a window. That is the reason why windows have a significantly lower U-value than the glass installed in them - listed as "Center of Glass" or COG U-value. uPVC profiles are extruded with small air chambers inside the frame which makes them the most efficient sash and frame materials, superior to wood or dramatically better than aluminum which is a strong heat conductor. Our CT70 model uses a 5-chamber profile. For ultra-efficient applications and triple-pane glazing we also offer the 6-chamber SI82 model and 8-chamber SI82PLUS.

In addition, our windows are available with a Laminated Glass option further improving their sound insulation performance.

Durability and Zero

Maintenance SCHUCO windows are build from UV stabilized materials protecting them from solar exposure and discoloration, a problem often observed on older "Vinyl" windows. I addition, our profiles are reinforced with zinc-coated steel profiles providing large windows with great strength and dimensional stability.
